When Cambridge Public Library planned their spectacular new 76,700 square foot addition/renovation they selected Tucker Library Interiors, LLC to work with their designers and librarians to create a unique and patron focused furniture and shelving installation. Eight hundred units of MJ Industries System 3000 shelving were specified to house the 250,000+ volumes of books, periodicals and numerous non print collections. A high density mobile shelving installation was also provided. Tucker Library Interiors worked closely with the architects and The Worden Company in designing a contemporary furniture package which was fabricated in natural maple by the Worden Company. The adult and children's furniture package included reading tables, computer work stations, public access stations, and reception/information desks. Various unique finish elements including custom laminated, 3-Form panels, perforated metals and maple veneers add visual interest to the striking interiors.
